Have you ever asked yourself why you consider some people being leaders? Have you ever had a manager who really was not a leader? Could it be that all leaders have something in common, and if you do the same, your chances if really being looked upon as a leader would increase dramatically?
Leaders are people having other people around who want to follow, take advice, and share the same objectives. Leaders are people who realize that in order to get result you Lead People and Manage Processes -- and a leader is very sure about the difference between those two.
To become a manager, your superiors promote you. To become a leader, your subordinates choose you. It's a big difference. Be sure you understand it.
Why would they choose you?
Over the past years I have watched and analyzed how people called leaders act, and it has led me to a conclusion.
If you do like the big leaders in the world -- business people or politicians are the same in this respect -- you could be the leader of choice for people around you.
Basically it is simple, but still so many people fail in this respect. In my opinion that is a mystery, because of the importance if you really want to become a leader.
What you say, and how you behave need to be in sync with what you preach.
Right?
